You know, if expect to get better at any sport, one crucial aspect is to properly prepare in all areas of your game.
In golf, it is no different. Whether you are 9 yrs old or 18 yrs old, you still need to look at all aspects of the game to improve!
It’s easy to do the ‘normal’ golf thing, ie., practice, hit buckets of balls, get new clubs, experiment with golf balls, meet with your instructor etc.
The hard part is preparing your body in order to be the best athlete you can be so that you can be the best golfer you can be. You see, one preceds the other.
You can be a good golfer without being a good athlete, but you will never play to your potential. However, good athletes can be great golfers, even if they start late into the game. Why do you think that pro baseball and other pro athletes can play for just a short time and be very good golfers?
The answer is easy…their body’s are already trained to perform the required movements of the golf swing for the most part. Plain and simple, they know how to use their body’s effeciently, which by the way, the average golfer cannot do!
It also happens to be the toughest thing for non-athletic players to learn and perfect, effiency.
So if you are looking to be a great junior golfer this year, then get into the gym and become a better athlete while you work on becoming a better golfer!
